Information Seeking in a Second Language facilitiated by Ken Scott, Sharjah Higher Colleges of Technology.

This practical workshop will include analysis of the actual experiences of students researching in a second language. Participants will use these learner experiences to reflect on their own approach to developing information literacy programs and how this might be adapted to better meet the needs of their clients.

As a member of the Information Literacy Immersion Program, Carol Hansen and her peers were honored with a Special Presidential Recognition Award at the Association of College and Research Libraries (ACRL) 14th National Conference in Seattle. The award was part of a 10th anniversary celebration of the popular Information Literacy Immersion programs.
